This recording captures the first of two shows at Eric Clapton's "A Celebration of 50 Years of Music" concert at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY, USA, on September 7, 2017. While Eric himself seems a little nervous, and his playing feels somewhat stiff, the overall impression is of a very stable and well-executed live performance. Eric and the other members deliver each song with care and precision, and their energy increases as the show progresses. In the latter half, you can hear some incredibly high-energy guitar work, allowing you to enjoy a wonderful live performance of "Slowhand" Eric. Despite being an audience recording, the sound quality is consistently high, with excellent clarity and presence throughout.
