☆High-bitrate Blu-ray video using XAVEL label's original, superb sound master for the audio.
☆Excellent balance source recorded at the venue's best acoustic sweet spot. Superb audience sound source with clear, crisp audio using omnidirectional microphones that fully convey the atmosphere of the venue.
☆Superb sound quality that can be described as "another definitive version" of the April 21st performance (Day 5). Superb sound that can only be heard on this Blu-ray.
Live at Budokan 2025, a whirlwind of 8 performances. The April 21st performance (Day 5) is fully recorded with original audience shots. This Blu-ray is from Alexander, the video division of XAVEL label.
The video itself is the same content as the DVD included with the limited edition pressed CD released earlier, but you can enjoy the picture quality that takes advantage of Blu-ray's high bitrate. This must-see video was filmed from the front stands, capturing the screen above the stage. While similar to the bonus footage from the third day's performance, this version is closer and significantly clearer. With its multi-camera, professional-shot-like quality, it's incredibly engaging and undoubtedly one of the definitive video releases of this tour.
However, the biggest selling point of this release, despite being a video item, lies in its audio. Specifically, the audio for this video uses another audience master recorded from the same position as the previously released press CD, allowing you to enjoy the entire live performance with a superb, clear sound that can only be experienced with this release. To briefly summarize the difference in sound character between this release and the previously released press CD:
◎Previously released press CD (MK4 unidirectional microphone) = Less sense of presence (+ audience noise). A thick sound with excellent mid-range reproduction. The superb tone of the guitar sound, in particular, is noteworthy and can only be achieved by using this microphone in this position.
◎This Blu-ray video (high-quality omnidirectional microphone) has a strong sense of presence (plus audience noise). The sound is clear and crisp, leaning towards a V-shaped frequency response. The mid-range frequencies, which include the fundamental tones and low harmonics of guitars and basses, are somewhat muted. The bright, clear, and pleasant sound quality has led some to feel that it sounds better than a unidirectional microphone.
