This is the complete, superb audience recording of the live performance at Nippon Budokan on December 6th from Clapton & Winwood's 2011 Japan tour. This performance marks the third of five performances at the sacred Budokan, arguably the highlight of this tour.
The high-quality master, originally recorded on the XAVEL label from a prime seat in the front center of the arena, has been digitally remastered in 24-bit, resulting in an overwhelmingly high-quality sound that perfectly balances the live band's sound and the PA speaker output. This stunning sound quality is undoubtedly the pinnacle of audience recordings.
As with the second day of the Tokyo performance, there is nothing new about the standard set of this tour, including "Pearly Queen," but the acoustics of the venue have definitely improved, and the outline of the mid-low range, which was a bit blurred on the first and second days, has become clearer.
