This is the final performance of Jeff Beck's Japan tour, held in April 2010, in support of his album "Emotion & Commotion." This live performance at the Tokyo International Forum on April 13th was completely captured in a superb audience recording. The tour kicked off in Nagoya and continued with six shows in Osaka, Amagasaki, and Tokyo. This stunning finale was captured with undeniable quality and is a must-have for fans. Like the previous day's performance, "Beck's Aria In Tokyo Act-2," released simultaneously on the XAVEL label, this recording features a high-quality original audience master recorded from a prime seat in the front center of the venue, and has been digitally remastered in 24-bit, capturing the guitar-driven band sound with crisp clarity and directness. The sound balance surpasses even the previous performance, with not a trace of the Forum's unpleasant high-frequency reverberation or excessive low-frequency bloat. Yet the hall's rich atmosphere, which lends a lustrous quality to Beck's guitar tone, is fully realized, resulting in a truly superb sound quality. Led by Narada & Rhonda's rhythm section, who are at their most riotous of the tour, the band united in a series of soulful performances in this emotional final performance. "Nessun Dorma," which is also featured on "Emotion & Commotion," is the well-known aria from "Turandot." However, Jeff's emotional performances of everything from the memorable, beautiful Irish melody of "Mna Na h'Eireann" to Curtis's "People Get Ready" and even The Beatles' "A Day In The Life" with his inimitable guitar tone are truly worthy of the word "chant." Even non-fans will be moved by such emotions when listening to the superb guitar playing of this solitary guitarist on this album.
