The long-awaited debut performance in Japan, the second day of their 3-day Zepp Tokyo tour on April 14th, is now available on the XAVEL label with ultra-high-quality audience recordings!
Having arrived on the 12th, with the first performance on the 13th and the second performance on the 14th, Johnny's playing was a little fatigued, with more noticeable mistakes than the previous day. However, his presence throughout the three days was simply incredible! While his playing speed may have slowed down compared to 20 years ago, his presence has not diminished at all! The flow of the last two songs before the encore, from "Bony Moronie" to "It's All Over Now," was incredibly hot! As with the previous day, he switched to a Firebird guitar for the encore, and his slide playing was nothing short of phenomenal. It's no exaggeration to say that the two encore songs were the true essence of this live performance; they were truly amazing!
