Their 2013 Tokyo concert, which saw the band's eight studio albums since "Autobahn" recreated in perfect detail, delighted fans. The seventh night of the eight-night show at Akasaka Blitz, the May 15th concert themed around "The Mix," was recorded in its entirety, from the opening surround sound introduction to the final performance, with audience recordings of a superb level comparable to soundboard recordings. This title boasts astonishing sound quality, with 24-bit digital remastering applied to the original high-quality master from the XAVEL label.
Following the familiar robot voice intro, the stage opened with "Robot," the first track from "The Mix." Due to the nature of the album, the performance on Day 7 was the most difficult to predict out of the eight Tokyo shows. In the end, there were no major changes to the mix compared to the other days, and every track from "Human Dissection" and "Computer World" was included, making it a truly "greatest hits live" performance. This release perfectly captures the venue's surround sound in stunning balance, capturing this "great value" performance on Day 7. The Tokyo 8 performances, released by the XAVEL label, were all mastered in 24-bit/96kHz, with professional-grade 24-bit digital remastering. All recordings are of the highest quality, comparable to soundboard recordings. But if I were asked to choose one of them with the best balance, I'd recommend this release. Fresh rhythm arrangements utilizing the latest electronic equipment, the "pop-out" 3D images that are the biggest attraction of this tour, and the surround sound that has been meticulously crafted to match the images - this is a commemorative item with perfect sound quality that brings back all of the experiences you had at the venue.
