The band's Japan tour, held early in January 2013, featured a two-day concert at Saitama Super Arena in support of their latest album, "The 2nd Law." This recording captures the first day, January 11th, in a superb audience recording on par with soundboard recordings! This premium soundtrack features 24-bit digital remastering of the original, premium-quality master from the XAVEL label. This is a new masterpiece from the same label that released the definitive Budokan performance in 2010!
This recording combines the rich, deep sound of a superb audience recording with the clear, direct, and crisp sound of a soundboard recording. Furthermore, every sound produced by the band is perfectly balanced, with no distracting audience noise, resulting in a flawless finish. This incredibly rare live performance features the set-in of "Exogenesis: Symphony, Part 3 (Redemption)" with video of "Pendulum"! Following "Plug In Baby," the daily-changing section features "Stockholm Syndrome."
The bonus tracks include a selection of songs carefully selected from the first half of the day's performance, recorded in superb sound quality by matrixing the IEM source used by Matthew on stage with the audience source. Seven songs in total, including "Knights of Sidonia" and "Exogenesis: Symphony, Part 3 (Redemption)," contain some clicks, but these are valuable bonus takes that allow you to enjoy the crisp, clear sound that only an IEM + premium AUD matrix can provide.
