This album features a complete soundboard recording of the Benicassim International Festival held in Spain. During this period, Noel was furious at Liam for uttering the infamous question, "Is Anais really your child?", and left the band midway through the STANDING ON THE SHOULDER OF GIANTS tour. Like stars returning to the forest, Noel returned after a while, but this incident led to rumors of a breakup on the final day of the tour in LEEDS.
The album cover is a photo from that day, and as you can see, Noel is absent on the right side. Matt Dayton filled in on rhythm guitar, while Gem showcased his true talent as lead guitarist. This unusual lineup made the stage unintentionally unique within the tour.
Even if someone with a high position leaves, the company continues to function, and the concert proceeded as usual despite Noel's absence. The only difference was that songs with Noel's vocals were removed from the setlist. Rather, the extended guitar solo in "Champagne Supernova" and other elements show a different flavor than Noel's, making it interesting in its own way. Also, "Acquiesce" is a rare version with only Noel's part played as a karaoke track.
Two audio recordings of this Benicásim International Festival have been confirmed, and this release uses a high-quality, perfect stereo soundboard recording that was unearthed later. Only two songs, "Fuckin' in the Bushes" and "Gas Panic!", are supplemented with the other soundboard recording. Due to the band's lineup, Noel's vocal tracks were cut, so these 14 songs represent the complete recording of the day's performance.
Noel and Anais are so alike that DNA testing is unnecessary, making Liam's abusive remarks unforgivable. However, the fact that this rare concert without Noel took place is likely to evoke mixed feelings in fans.
