Complete Nude Tour Rehearsal Vol.1 (1CDR)
Actually, there is footage of the Nude Tour rehearsals. However, this item is a CD release of audio from a different source with better sound quality. Furthermore, the recording time is slightly longer than the 73 minutes listed in Prince's bible, The Vault, at approximately 75 minutes and 30 seconds. This is because it includes Prince's vocals on the first track, Jealous Again. Prince's powerful vocals are a must-listen. That part isn't included in the video. The Nude Tour Rehearsal recordings were released by Thuderball under the title Nudity, and this April 21st release corresponds to Disc 1 of that title. However, even Nudity was incomplete, making this release a significant discovery and a game-changer for The Vault. There will be a sequel to this Nude Tour Rehearsal recording.

This second installment of the Nude Tour rehearsals features a soundboard with excellent sound quality. While Disc 1 features just the band, without Prince, Levi Seaser's vocals and the languid feel of the performance make it feel like a band playing casually in a club, which is interesting. At the very end of Disc 1, "Erotic City" begins with the melody of "Erotic City" playing casually, but then Prince appears, and the band suddenly tightens up, quickly transforming "Erotic City" into a super funky live arrangement. Disc 2 features a full-on rehearsal of "Sex," exploring countless keyboard phrases, drum patterns, and guitar riffs. The final arrangement is completely different from the studio take, a fascinating insight into Prince and his band's experimental approach. The second half of Disc 2 features rehearsals that only existed on audio recordings. Previously, these tracks were released in fragments, with degraded sound quality, on the out-of-print "Prince In The Nude" CD. Here, they've been fully rehearsed and remastered. While the "Batdance" and "Little Red Corvette" tracks feel like practice sessions, the final track, "Partyman," feels unfinished and still in the process of being played, which is a cool arrangement in its own right. Combined with "Complete Nude Tour Rehearsal Pt. 1," this completes the collection of all existing rehearsal recordings from the Nude tour in the highest quality possible. The incomplete recordings on rehearsal CDs like "Nudity" released by Thuderball have been thoroughly polished and released here, along with new material.

This set includes two DVDRs of Camille's master footage of the Nude Tour rehearsal. The single-camera shot captures the center of the stage from a distance. There's also a scene where Prince and Miko are fighting over a guitar, with Prince insulting Miko, saying, "Your guitar is just punk!" This is a rare and incredibly valuable piece of footage capturing the young band inside Paisley Park at the time.
