This is Pure Funk's Toronto performance on July 27, 2004. While a recording from this performance did exist, the sound quality was so poor it was never released. However, Pure Funk has unearthed a different master! While the master is slightly distorted, it delivers the highest quality audience sound possible! It's a truly immersive experience! At over 150 minutes in total, this show is one of the longest of the Musicology Tour! The first half is meticulous yet solid, and the 30-minute acoustic set is excellent. The moment they play a bit of "Adore" followed immediately by "Sweet Thing," and the audience's stunned reaction is hilarious. Canada is Maniera's home country, and they were a passionate couple at the time, so it was a fantastic show! The setlist is a stunning staging that hits all the basics, and this newly unearthed performance marks a new chapter in the Musicology Tour! Prince's jokes exploded during the MC, creating a live performance that was incredibly exciting, and one that we can be proud of, staying true to the basics. Because the first version had some distortion and noise, a new version, V2, was created by further examining the master and completely restoring it. Both V1 and V2 are being released at the price of a two-disc set! Compare the audio and enjoy the remastering. This is a thoroughly unreleased Toronto performance, an absolute must-have item!!!
