Live At Lone Star Roadhouse, New York, NY September 20th 1989

The special project "New York Rock and Soul Revue," which ran from 1989 to 1992, is well-known for the official release of its 1991 show. However, the early and late shows at Lone Star in 1989, which were the first public performances of this project, are now available for the first time on a soundboard master!

Featuring appearances by Steely Dan's Donald Fagen, Dr. John, Phoebe Snow, and the distinctive violinist Mindy Joston, they perform classic rock and soul numbers such as "Time Is on My Side" and "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love," both familiar from Rolling Stones covers, and "Fragments of a Heart" and "Cry Baby," made famous by Janis Joplin.
