This is a live recording of Stick Men from April of this year, while the excitement of King Crimson's Japan tour last year (2021) is still fresh. The sound is unmistakably King Crimson. And no wonder, with Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto in the rhythm section. The number of members is small, but each one plays with an incredible amount of detail and notes, so there is absolutely no thinness to the sound. A string of King Crimson masterpieces such as "Red," "Level Five," and "Larks' Tongues in Aspic" are played. It sounds like an introduction to the King Crimson Trio, but this is actually a band called Stick Men. Moreover, Stick Men have released a new album after a long time, "Tentacles." It is also full of masterpieces with unconventional time signatures. Happily, they are also played here. In other words, King Crimson masterpieces plus new songs by Stick Men.
