This is the third installment in the series, following the "Roger Scott Master Collection" and "John Barrett Master Collection." It chronologically compiles previously unreleased test pressings and lacquers owned by Beatles members and associates, many of which contain different mixes from before the official releases, acetate recordings containing early demos, and even unreleased demos. From the historic 1958 recording that marked the beginning of the band's legend to the final recording session in 1969, this collection includes all surviving acetate recordings and key demos, as well as numerous rare recordings not previously included in studio outtakes. While many acetate recordings, originally owned exclusively by insiders, have sold at auction and fetched high prices, these surviving recordings are labeled "Direct from Acetate" and faithfully reproduced with the original sound intact. The low-quality sound of acetate recordings is a unique feature of acetate recordings. Familiar recordings, such as Paul's demos "It's for You," "A World Without Love," and "Woman," as well as tracks from "Revolver," which have recently surfaced at auction and garnered attention, are also newly remastered for the highest quality possible.
