The 1972 tour was recorded for a live album, and the release itself was canceled, but as a result, many titles considered masterpieces in Collectors history, such as those from Philharmonic and Fort Worth, were produced. This album, "Keep Your Motor Runnin'," is also a title derived from a series of leaks. While the sound quality is exceptional, what distinguishes it from the aforementioned leaked soundboard is the inclusion of overdubs, demonstrating that it was clearly worked on for release.

The main focus is the Philadelphia concert on July 20, 1972, but it also includes best takes from numerous other performances. While not a complete reproduction of the original setlist, it's a cohesive live album, starting with "Brown Sugar" and ending with "Satisfaction." Particularly noteworthy is the medley of "Uptight" and "Satisfaction." Stevie Wonder makes a surprise appearance, singing along, and the arrangement is incredibly funky, heavily influenced by his style.

Disc 2 includes a soundboard recording of "Dead Flowers" from the same tour that didn't make it onto Disc 1, as well as audience recordings of rare tracks not included on Disc 1, such as "Sweet Black Angel," "Honky Tonk Women," "Loving Cup," "Torn And Frayed," and "Ventilator Blues." It also includes five existing tracks from a tour rehearsal held in Switzerland on May 28, 1972.

This is a fantastic soundboard recording from the Rolling Stones' 1972 US tour, which could be considered an unreleased live album.
