"Soul Train," a TV program that symbolizes the golden age of Black music in the 1970s. This is the second installment in a best-of compilation series compiling rare performances from its precious on-air footage. First, there's Ike & Tina Turner at their peak, the elegant middle section of Jerry Butler, lead singer of The Impressions, Eddie Kendricks after going solo from The Temptations, the top vocal group The Whispers, and even Michael Jackson during his voice change with Jermaine Jackson and the Jackson 5. The biggest highlight is the funky performance of the legendary Aretha Franklin. Furthermore, there's a rare performance of David Ruffin during The O'Jays' heyday, The Spinners' hit tune "I'll Be Around," the powerful funk groove of Sisters Love, and finally, the moving performance of Al Green from his Hi-Label era. In short, it's a treasure trove of Black music, totaling 117 minutes with subtitles.
