This ultra-high-quality recording from the November 21st Shinkiba Studio Coast performance, the first of three consecutive Tokyo shows, is now available from the Japan tour of Atoms For Peace, the super project formed by Thom Yorke, Flea, and Nigel Godrich! This ultra-high-quality recording combines XAVEL's renowned audience recordings with the three IEMs used by Flea, Thom Yorke, and Nigel Godrich. After the main show, the opening act, ANSTAM, also features a performance recorded with an ultra-high-quality audience recording. Following the release of "RED ALART," a stunning, high-quality recording of their 2010 Fuji Rock Festival performance, XAVEL has now released their first tour recording. This release features a mix of multiple IEMs, resulting in a stunning stereo experience. With Nigel on the left, Flea on the right, and Thom Yorke in the center, the resulting stereo image is unmatched by standard audience recordings. While both this release and "Tokyo 2nd Night 2013," which features the second night of the Tokyo concert, are IEM mixes, the fundamentally different processing methods result in completely different sound images for each item. This release, capturing the opening night performance, offers particularly impressive power and spatialization. While the balance is slightly inferior to the following night's performance, the sound quality is still more than adequate! A must-have for fans and non-fans alike!
