A popular Hot Tuna item is here! This is a recording from 1969, shortly after Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady formed Hot Tuna. Just as their first album was acoustic, early Hot Tuna was an acoustic blues unit. However, the performance captured here, recorded on July 22, 1969 at The Matrix, features a powerful electric band. But Papa John Creach is absent. In other words, it's a simple blues-rock jam centered around Jorma's guitar and Jack's gritty bass!
