This release features a live recording of Jeff Beck's US tour from October 31, 1971, at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, California. While the first incarnation of the Jeff Beck Group (JBG) was popular thanks to star players like Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood, the second incarnation featured on this disc—including the then-unknown Cozy Powell (who would go on to become a world-famous drummer) and the highly skilled Max Middleton—boasted a compelling lineup that delivered technically superb performances. Jeff is in top form here, showcasing a powerful guitar style filled with a raw intensity unique to this era. Bonus tracks include three songs from the Finland show during that year's European tour and two songs from a studio performance at the BBC studios in London, all sourced from soundboard (SBD) recordings. Although the main show is an audience recording, it captures a vivid sense of atmosphere and clarity, allowing the listener to experience the performance directly.
