This release features three rare live performances of Miles Davis from the 1970s, the era when he became the overwhelming king of electric music after the biggest wave in jazz history, "Bitches Brew." Disc 1 contains a 70-minute recording of his 1971 Berlin concert, the longest performance to date. This is a rare video featuring the short-lived funky drummer, "Ndugu" Leon Chancellor. Disc 2 couples two concerts; the first half features a 1973 Berlin concert. This showcases the style that would later become established in the electric Miles band: Al Foster's splashy drumming and the twin guitars of Pete Cosey and Reggie Lucas. The second half features a Tanglewood performance just before their appearance at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival, where you can enjoy the rock-influenced Miles band immediately after their electrification, with twin keyboards by Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea and a rhythm section by Dave Holland and Jack DeJohnette. All of these are high-definition professional shot videos.
