An artist's true essence is revealed in their first album. Is this saying particularly applicable to Prince? In 1976, Prince and André Simone recorded "Soft and Wet" and "My Love Is Forever" at Chris Moon's studio. Managed by Chris Moon's friend Owen Husney, Prince had the opportunity to experiment with all kinds of instruments, including synthesizers. He later signed with Warner and, in the fall of 1977, finally completed his debut album, "For You," after five months of isolation. This monumental album has now been remastered, and the latest outtakes have been meticulously remastered to complement it, resulting in the release of the For You Special Edition, allowing you to truly enjoy "For You." The slightly shorter intervals between songs allow for a smoother development, and the inclusion of more-or-less fully developed demos and album outtakes further embodies the overall image of the album and Prince's sound, making this a truly wonderful compilation.
