This DVD captures the one-off Vegas performance on the 22nd, featuring the highest-quality 24-bit digital recording from the front row pit area, as well as three other premium audience recordings, all matrixed and edited to create a complete recording.
The entire show is clear and balanced, with no audience noise at all. The arena seating just under 20,000 ensures perfect balance between each part, making it sound like a soundboard at first listen, at an official bootleg level.
The highly anticipated set also kicked off with "Jumpin' Jack Flash," followed by a long-awaited performance of "Let's Spend the Night Together" and "Ride 'Em on Down" from "Blue & Lonesome." However, perhaps due to Mick's physical condition, the set was kept relatively short at 18 songs. Instead, Keith announced, "We're going to do three songs today," and performed solo on three tracks: "Slipping Away," "Little T&A," and "Happy," a highlight fans will be happy to see.
After "Tumbling Dice," Mick apologized, saying, "Sorry for canceling," and while apologizing, he joked, "It looks like you were doing a comic show in Vegas while we were on vacation," a typical Mick moment. Since the short autumn tour was effectively limited to just three shows, including "Desert Trip," all of the shows are must-hear and must-see must-sees.
