"The Dance Electric," written by Prince & The Revolution, was later offered to Andre Cymone, and this title includes all surviving versions. First, from the 2013 reissue of "A.C." on which "The Dance Electric" appears, we have the album version, single/edit version, and long version (although it's shorter than the original). Finally, there's the extended version, which barely features Andre's vocals. Dr. Funkenberry actually owned an unreleased acetate of "The Dance Electric" and uploaded it for a while. It was almost an extended version with Andre singing. Then there was the version from Andre's music video, which lacked any Prince influence. Then there was the demo by Prince, which featured unusual drumming and a different development in the middle. Then there was the original version by Prince and the Revolution. And finally, there was the version included in the deluxe edition of Purple Rain. Comparing these to the original version, the original version honestly has a more powerful guitar sound and is cooler. Finally, there's a live version from when Andy guest-starred at a Prince concert.
