This is professional-shot footage from Bob Dylan's "True Confessions" tour in 1986, where he led Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, who were at the height of their popularity at the time. While it's called "professional-shot," it's actually footage with angles adjusted by switching between several fixed cameras. The picture quality isn't comparable to modern high-definition; it's VHS quality. This description might sound like I'm not trying to sell it, but that's not my intention at all. It's just a preface to avoid giving newcomers to collector's items excessive expectations. This is a must-have classic video for Dylan fans, and of course, a must-have item for fans of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, who reigned as giants of American rock at the time. Using a newly digitized master from the original VHS tape, the sound pressure has been readjusted, resulting in unprecedentedly powerful sound quality. Dylan's great trust in Tom Petty at the time is evident, and the Heartbreakers, not content to be merely supporting actors, hold their own on equal footing. The recordings of this tour's fantastic performances in Japan have been pressed by the same label, Wisteria Records.
