This recording captures Buddy Guy's 2015 Canadian performance at the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival on June 19th at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver, BC Canada. Coming just before the release of his new album, his energy is high, and he delivers an exceptionally brilliant blues performance. Despite being a festival performance, the set is longer than usual for Buddy, allowing for ample time to fully appreciate his guitar work. The sound quality, despite being an audience recording, is very high, with a direct and easy-to-listen feel. While the MC sections are slightly lower in volume due to the directional recording equipment, the playing itself is recorded clearly and directly, resulting in a superb quality recording.
