This high-quality audience recording captures the entirety of Purple's 2009 Japan tour, the first day of the tour on April 8th. As a joint tour with Yngwie Malmsteen, this Japan tour was more exciting than usual, and as you'd expect from one of the hard rock scene's most powerful bands, they delivered a dignified performance. The set kicked off with a well-placed "Highway Star," and the middle section began with "Contact Lost," followed by Purple's masterpiece, the Morse-era masterpiece "Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming," before segueing into "Well Dressed Guitar." Morse's solo performance was truly a masterpiece. This recording captures this incredible live performance from the front center of the venue, with superb sound and excellent positioning. Of particular note is the vividness of Steve Morse's guitar tone coming from the right channel, which sounds just like a live performance! Fans will be delighted to hear every detail of his stunning guitar work.
