2015 "In The Name of Love" Japan Tour, Day 2 at the Budokan! This full-length performance, complete with a second encore, is recorded in stunning sound quality that rivals the official live recording!
This release is part of the familiar XAVEL label's IEM + AUD matrix sound source series, capturing the second day (January 7th) of the consecutive performances at the Nippon Budokan in the New Year of 2015. This exquisite live recording perfectly balances the IEM sources used by drummer Gerry Brown and other musicians on stage with the original audience source, boasting a superb sound balance. The perfect sound quality rivals that of the opening performance, released simultaneously, and is sure to be mistaken for a soundboard recording. With no annoying audience noise, we confidently recommend this release.
This Japan tour consisted of only two consecutive shows at the "holy ground" Nippon Budokan. On this "final day," in addition to the same intense performance as the first day, they also performed "Reach Out And Touch" as a second encore. Diana also showed her hospitality by descending from the stage into the arena seats, making it an especially unforgettable night for the dedicated fans who had secured seats at the front with expensive VIP tickets.
Diana Ross was a driving force behind the glamorous black music scene of the 1960s and 1970s, from the dawn of Motown to the heyday of the disco boom.
