This recording captures Eric Clapton's 15th Japan tour performance, his first in Sendai, on December 8th at Sendai Grande 21, Sendai, Miyagi, Japan. This concert marked his 27th year in Japan since his first performance in 1974, and his first time performing in Tohoku, Sendai. Part of his world tour supporting the album "Reptile," the concert featured an acoustic set in the first half and a powerful electric set in the second half. His hit song "Layla" was performed in both acoustic and electric versions, and the roar and cheers of the packed audience are palpable. Eric himself is in top form, showcasing some very spirited guitar work for his first show in Sendai. The sound quality, despite being an audience recording, is excellent, and even taking into account the era, you can enjoy a stable clarity and sense of presence, with consistently high frequencies throughout.
