This release captures a live performance by The Firm—the group formed by Jimmy Page and Paul Rodgers—at the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, during their US tour in April 1986, shortly before they disbanded. Although the band was active for only two years, they have achieved legendary status among rock fans. Comprising members who were all highly skilled musicians capable of leading their own solo projects, the band delivers a sound of astonishing perfection. It is rare to see Jimmy Page and Paul Rodgers playing with such relaxed freedom; the sound is incredibly stable—perhaps best described as a blend of Led Zeppelin and Bad Company. The concert featured here took place during their final US tour following the release of their second album; as the band broke up after this tour concluded, this stands as their genuine final concert. Regarding sound quality: although this is an audience recording, it was sourced from the master tape, resulting in excellent clarity and a vivid sense of presence.
