This 78-minute recording captures the blissful performance of this organ trio, centered around the new B-3 sound of the up-and-coming organist Tony Monaco.

Pat Martino's thick, transparent guitar tone is instantly recognizable and full of presence, while the masterful and ever-changing playing of veteran Harvey Mason is outstanding. When thinking of Pat Martino and organ trios, the first thing that comes to mind is his many memorable performances with Joey Defrancesco. However, Tony Monaco's playing, which is a completely different style, brings a fresh brilliance to familiar songs like "Sunny."

Given that his performance at the JVC Jazz Festival just before this, with its limited repertoire, was somewhat disappointing for fans, this is truly a long-awaited release.
