This is the complete recording of KISS's live performance in Durant, Oklahoma, on January 29, 2016, with superb sound approaching a stereo soundboard recording!

As Paul mentioned in the MC section midway through, this live performance was a rare, one-night-only event that took place during the time off between the 2014-15 40th Anniversary Tour (which also saw a huge success in Japan) and the Freedom to Rock Tour, which toured North America in the summer of 2016. Durant is a small city located at the southern tip of Oklahoma, also known as "Indian Territory." The performance took place in a hall inside a casino run by the Choctaw Tribe, a Native American tribe that calls Durant its territory capital, making it an exceptionally small venue for a KISS concert (you can probably imagine how small the venue was from the short flight distance of "Love Gun," which can be heard just from the sound alone, haha). This masterpiece captures this coveted stage performance with the ultimate sound, combining ultra-clear, crisp band sound comparable to a stereo soundboard recording with the roaring roar of the casino floor shaking in the next room, the suffocating heat, and the powerful pyro system, creating a truly immersive experience. It's a masterpiece, and it's truly one of our XAVEL's finest recordings yet! Who would have thought they'd unleash such a hidden gem during this time of global gloom due to the COVID-19 pandemic? The highlight of the day, undoubtedly, is "Flaming Youth," as mentioned at the beginning! This killer tune from "Destroyer" would become a fixture on the setlist for the Freedom to Rock tour that began this summer, but at this stage it hadn't been performed on a regular stage in a long time. Paul's song introduction, which may seem a little pretentious, is followed by a pause (this pause feels incredibly real) before the KISS Army near the recorder let out a joyous roar of "Ohhh, fuck yeah, ahyoo $@#&%$..." - a testament to its rarity. Of course, there are plenty of other highlights, including "Creatures of the Night"! KISS always puts on a top-notch rock show, so there's no way you can go wrong with their professional performance!!
