Metal Hammer, the label known for its string of powerful recordings of hard rock/heavy metal artists' Japan tours that redefine the concept of audience recordings, is releasing the first of five performances from their 2010 Japan tour! The premiere stage of MSG's 2010 Japan tour, dubbed the "30th Anniversary Tour," was the January 12th performance at Nakano Sun Plaza, completely recorded with ultra-high-quality audience recordings! Simon Phillips and Neil Murray, who also participated in the album "In The Midst Of Beauty," accompanied the band on this Japan tour. Thanks to the participation of these two virtuoso musicians, the tracks performed on the previous tour are filled with a dynamic energy and tension that makes them sound completely different. This performance also reminds us of just how important the rhythm section is in a band, as is particularly evident in Simon's lead drumming on tracks like "Into The Arena" and "Rock Bottom."
