The worldwide sensation, the self-cover album celebrating 50 years of UFO and the accompanying "My Years with UFO" tour, have finally arrived in Japan!
The live performance at HNK Hall, which kicked off the Japan tour, has been completely recorded with superb sound comparable to a stereo soundboard recording!
Brought to you by the acclaimed XAVEL label, this multi-stereo IEM matrix recording combines the line-level audio from multiple stereo IEM sources, each with a different mix balance, used by each member onstage with the superb audience audio, resulting in a perfectly balanced stereo mix. With Michael's guitar sound at its core, this special band features Brian Tessie on drums, Barry Sparks on bass, Derek Sherinian on keyboards, Michael Foss on side guitar and vocals, and Eric Gronwall on lead vocals, and the entire performance is captured with outstanding separation, clarity, and positioning in this masterpiece.
There are also no guide clicks, which are common with IEM sound sources, so you can enjoy the entire experience stress-free.
The "UFO Tour" has been ongoing since last year, and this Japan tour, which took place in early 2026, saw the aforementioned revamp of the band lineup, as well as major changes to "God"'s own appearance.
In other words, on stage, not only was he sporting his trademark Flying V, but from head to toe, he perfectly embodied "God's" determination to "perfectly recreate himself from his UFO days!" - a figure of "Michael Schenker in the UFO days" boasting an overwhelming level of perfection that transcends half a century of time.
It's not hard to imagine that when "God" appeared at the opening, the enthusiastic fans who had packed the venue all let out silent moans of amazement.
A surprise that truly embodied Michael's perfectionism, and in proportion to his enthusiasm, the splendor of the performances at these three Japan tour shows is particularly noteworthy.
