This recording of the final show in Tokyo, held on October 8th at Showa Women's University Hitomi Memorial Hall, is part of Night Ranger's 2019 Japan tour, which promised a perfect reproduction of their first and second albums. It features ultra-high-quality sound comparable to a stereo soundboard recording. While it had been customary for previous shows to play the entire "Dawn Patrol" and "Midnight Madness" albums in the same order, on this day, there was no intermission after "Dawn Patrol," and the songs from "Midnight Madness" were played in a different order. Bringing "Rock in America" to close the main part of the show before the encore perfectly fit the original flow of the show, and the songs played during the encore were also neatly swapped out. This trend appears to have continued in the Osaka performance that followed. The lack of a "shoddy, haphazard" feel, with the content changing so much from day to day, is simply amazing. This is a particularly powerful and soulful live performance, even among the band's recent few visits to Japan. Mastered using the mastering technology renowned by the XAVEL label, this album delivers a high-quality sound that is several levels above the separately released recordings, making it a must-listen for fans.
