Espace Nikaia, Nice July 25, 2010
Prince, whose new album 20Ten was offered for free as a supplement to magazines and newspapers in 2010, has released a title that couples the best live performances from his tour this year with the final show. Both are compilations of fragments of footage taken with mobile devices, etc., into a single audience video. While Disc 2's Nice performance has little video and mostly consists of audio, the July 10th Werchter performance is almost entirely different, offering fantastic footage from multiple angles. This July 10th performance features guest appearances from Larry Graham of Graham Central Station and Sly & the Family Stone, as well as Stokely Williams, leader of the superb funk band Mint Condition. This live performance is undoubtedly the best of the year. The final performance is also a masterpiece, showcasing the full potential of Prince and his band.
