Introducing the latest collection of outtakes for 26 years! The opening track is the unreleased "All The King's Horses," which was first unveiled to VIP attendees at Paisley Park's Celebration in June 2013. It was recorded at Paisley Park in November 2001. Claire Fisher recorded the orchestral parts in September 2002, and the song was completed in early 2003. When recorded in November 2001, the song was recorded as "All The King's Horses." A version including the orchestral parts also exists, though not leaked, and is titled "All The King's Men" on the tape box. It was intended to be the final track on the unreleased project "Songwriter." The lyric "All the King's horses" comes from the Mother Goose nursery rhyme "Humpty Dumpty," referring to the line, "All the king's horses and all the king's men / Couldn't put Humpty together again."
Then there's Prince's "The Glamorous Life," a longer version than the original, with an electrifying development in the second half.
An unreleased piano session from May 1982, "Raspberry Beret" features scat singing but no vocals, giving the feeling of what's to come. "Instrumental" is an interesting piano instrumental that alternates between quiet and lively, featuring phrases from Wonderful Ass.
And there's a less cheesy version of "Cosmic Day," fan-made but with a rockish flair that's certainly great.
There's also an 11-minute long version of "Strange Relationship," longer than the 1987 Shep Pettibone Club Mix; a groovy fan-made mix of "The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker" with a few effects; and "Love 89," a highly polished AI-generated version of "Love 89" offered to Patti LaBelle, for which there is no Prince version.
This is the cleanest version of "Dance With The Devil" to date. It's the version featured in the music video for "Willing & Able," but with a more stereo-like horn mix. And there's "The Most Beautiful U In The World," a mix of Prince and Mayte duetting, and a longer version of "Boyfriend."
