The longest 150-minute live performance of the Purple Rain tour is now released in the highest quality! First up is the shocking opening of Controversy! This incredibly funky version features Revolution and Wendy's guitar chops, creating a powerful, hyper-charged version! From there, the performance continues at a high level, cascading into Let's Go Crazy! They then briefly play When You Were Mine, followed by Take Me With U, and a rare, never-before-seen premiere of 4 The Tears in Your Eyes! They also feature a rare cover of A Case Of You, and a never-before-seen performance of Raspberry Beret! Completely different from the later versions where the audience is invited to sing along or the piano playing, this is a fantastic version, backed by Revolution, who sings carefully and carefully, as if to say to the audience, "Here's a great song, but please remember it!" The album features the funky epitome of "Iresistible Bitch," the delightful "International Love," and a truly unexpected happening in the second half! Bruce Springsteen and Madonna, two of the biggest names in the '80s, take to the stage for "Baby I'm A Star"! The Boss then takes a guitar solo! From there, the album unfolds into an 18-minute jam featuring various funky riffs, including "Body Heat," "Ice Cream Castles," and "Party Up!" The band then debuts the new song "America," even though "Around the World in a Day" hasn't been released yet! The funkiness continues, and then the grand finale, "Purple Rain," concludes! These three tracks total 53 minutes, a long run that feels like a prog rock concert! This recording is based primarily on the original audience recording master, with previously existing CDRs used to fill in the gaps, resulting in the ultimate sound. As a result, Free Boot Generation's original research into the previously incomplete Purple Rain and America performances has resulted in the final Purple Rain, making the setlist more accurate and recording it! This is the best live performance of the Purple Rain tour, with the best work done!
