Here's the soundboard from this live performance!

The Minnesota Music Awards on May 20, 1986, was a must-have recording for audience members, and is immensely popular for its unique peak sound. Here's the soundboard from this live performance! When the "Twin City" chant and the keyboards play, the instrument sounds are clearly audible, unlike previous audience recordings. This is truly a line recording. The track flows wonderfully from Raspberry Beret to the super funky Girls & Boys, then the long, drawn-out transition to Life Can Be So Nice builds up, teasing the listener. From that track, with its excellent cutting, comes a super cool mix of All Day All, Night and Controversy, with the bass thumping thanks to the line recording. Then there's a killer version that includes Mutiny's Holly Rock and Dream Factory, and a fantastic extended version of Kiss. However, the latter half of the recording is cut from the master, so this is reinforced with the audience master. And then there's the unexpected B-side, Love Or $! This is another cool funk track, with Eric's thrilling saxophone playing irresistible! I'm so grateful to have been able to hear this live version on this soundboard! The special edition includes a completely unreleased instrumental by Eric Leeds and Prince's jazz duo, The Flesh, titled "A Couple of Miles," the longest version of André Simone's "The Dance Electric," clocking in at a whopping 11 minutes and 46 seconds, and the highest-quality alternate takes of "Girls & Boys" and "Love Or $" to date!

Another recording of this rare gig, with stunning sound quality!

Who would have thought that such a rare live recording would be released as a best-of audience recording, far surpassing existing recordings and surpassing soundboard quality? Prince won six major awards at the 1986 Minnesota Music Awards, but this was a precious live performance that took place at that time! In other words, only those involved could get in. This recording was taken by Prince's closest aides, and the previous recordings could only be described as audience recordings. However, this time, we have a very valuable audience recording taken by one of Prince's closest aides, and the sound quality is the kind that Prince himself would have listened to! This complete master has now been released directly on CDR in first generation! First, it starts with the intro that begins the live performance, which is completely different from anything else available! After the beautifully finished Raspberry Beret, that funky riff rings out! It's Girls & Boys! This unpredictable development is what makes this a rare gig so special! A must-listen version featuring a more serious performance with Jerome! And a groovier after-show rendition of "Life Can Be So Nice" than usual! Suddenly, Wendy's amazing guitar chops! What's with that funky rhythm?! It leads into "All Day All Night," and then into a powerful version of "Controversy"! While there aren't many after-shows on the Parade tour, this arrangement is truly unheard of—definitely an after-show! Then there's the heavy groove of "Mutiny," and Eric Leeds's incredible saxophone. Then there's "Holy Rock," a tank-like avalanche of even more funk that could be called "Dream Factory Jam," and then a somewhat bluntly performed "Kiss," but this is an extended version! It plays for a whopping seven minutes! The syncopation with Brownmark and the horns is amazing! After the band introduction, just when you think it's over, Prince asks, "One more?", and then suddenly Prince adds vocals and plays "Love or Money"! This version also features some very freaky horns, a funky arrangement with never-before-heard phrases popping up along the way, and lasts for 6 minutes! This is also an extended version! A truly shocking gig! A precious performance from the peak of its power! You can now hear it with the realism that surpasses this soundboard! What's more, this item also includes Prince's speech at the awards ceremony at the end, which was not previously available.
