This title features a complete, high-quality audience recording of the Ireland concert on July 30, 2011. This concert, which marked the finale of the July Euro tour, featured a fantastic guest appearance by the Chicago-based jazz-hip-hop band Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. The guitar is superb, with Gold playing, and Musicology evolves into a chorus with Aulio. Cassandra adds some great keyboards, Andy adds some interesting cutting, Ida adds some bass, and even the chant "Eye Like Funky Music" makes for an unconventional performance! Then, horn phrases from the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble are added, and around seven minutes into the performance, Prince finally begins singing Musicology in a casual manner. The epic seven-minute intro and the big-band-style jam of Musicology are heavy and innovative! From The Bird and Jungle Love, they move on to Play That Funky Music, and Shelby unexpectedly sings Party Up, and Prince joins in, getting the audience going! Every song is magical, creating a frenzy of excitement! This is a remarkable live performance that captures Prince's incredible live performance in a compact format! A special edition of this live performance is now available! The DVD includes a 44-minute DVDR with stunning, multi-angle audience footage from that night. Scenes include Prince practicing his call-and-response rehearsal routine for "Gold"; Prince, with his fluffy perm and long white hoodie, stalking the stage like a teenage boy having a slumbering slumber party; Prince playing "Let's Go Crazy"; Shelby, with his never-before-seen close-up; and Prince's acrobatic performance of "Little Red Corvette," where he plays a guitar phrase with just his left hand while simultaneously playing keyboards with his right. A large horn section, the opening act Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, is projected onto the stage like a big band during "Musicology." And, shockingly, Prince even hands out Mad Cats to audience members on stage to play. Footage also captures extended sampler sets for "When Doves Cry" and "Hot Thing." In "A Love Bizarre," he calls Andy like Wendy and sings together at the piano, and in "Controversy," he sings with her at the highest level of energy.
