AHUM RECORDS, a new collector's label focusing primarily on artists from the 2000s onwards, has arrived.
Featuring ultra-high-quality AUD recordings of Veronica Ronnie Spector, a member of the legendary girl group The Ronettes. This set is packed with covers of songs by artists ranging from the Beach Boys and Billy Joel to the Ramones. In particular, the eighth track, a Ramones number followed by an instrumental medley of classic Ronettes songs, and then "Baby I Love You," seemingly an answer to Joey Ramone's admiration for Phil Spector, creates a truly sublime pop experience that is impossible to listen to without tears.
Ronnie's voice in 1990 is especially strong, with incredible range. Many continue to be influenced by Ronnie's unique singing style.
