This is the latest live recording from the Tedeski Trucks Band, who began their tour in the summer of 2021. A recording from August, at the start of the tour, was released by the same label, but it was still a warm-up performance with a smaller lineup. This latest recording features a horn section and the return of their trademark twin drums. Each member is warmed up and in full throttle mode. The second set begins with The Beatles' "I've Gotta Feeling," followed by Derek and the Dominos' "Bell Bottom Blues" and "Love Is a Sad Thing." There are plenty of highlights, including Derek's signature rendition of Coltrane's "Afro Blue." Another noteworthy highlight is their performance of Neil Young's "Helpless." Susan's powerful vocals and Derek's fluid, soaring slide guitar are superb. Mike Matheson, Mark Rivers, and Alicia Charcoal also have their lead vocals featured on some tracks, truly representing the peak of their 2021 tour. Although it's an audience recording, the sound quality is so high that it could easily be mistaken for a soundboard recording, especially until you hear the cheers between songs.
