This definitive collection brings together a selection of rare takes, including versions, takes, and mixes, from the recording sessions for the band's fourth official UK album, "For Sale," released in 1964! The Beatles' fourth original album, "FOR SALE," was recorded in between a hectic schedule that included tours in Europe, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden from June 1964, a US tour in August and September, and a UK tour in October and November. Due to this, the album features eight original songs and six covers, primarily from their pre-debut live repertoire. While the album's overall Americana flair, influenced by Bob Dylan, whom they met during their US tour, and a country-influenced sound, is a more subdued work than their earlier work. This title album, "FOR SALE," features 28 tracks, including 17 carefully selected rare takes from those recording sessions (plus 11 tracks from the American "FOR SALE" / BEATLES '65 U.S. Stereo Apple Pressing Vinyl Version), making it a permanent collector's edition!
