From the Stones' "SODD" label, a soundboard recording of the Memphis performance on June 28, the middle of the band's 1978 North American tour, which consisted of only 26 shows, has been released. As is well known, this '78 tour was recorded live on 24-track, and many of the recordings were aired on "KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR." While only a portion of this Memphis performance has aired, this release faithfully recreates the setlist from that day, including unaired takes. While it's not a complete recording, the powerful realism is impressive. Additionally, the disc includes the B-side of the single "Brown Sugar," the mono single version of "Let It Rock," and four tracks performed that day but not recorded—"Star Star," "Lies," "Far Away Eyes," and "Sweet Little Sixteen"—recreated using soundboard recordings from other days. Plus, a bonus CD-R featuring three tracks from tour rehearsals that weren't actually performed on the tour: "Cocksuker Blues," "Play With Fire," and "Memory Motel."
