(Live At Boston Garden, Boston, MA / July 18th 1972)
A new series focusing on the golden age from 1969 to 1974 has arrived from the SODD label. The second installment features a complete recording of the July 18th Boston Garden show from their 1972 US tour, captured from recently unearthed stereo audience sources. This show is famous for being significantly delayed due to a brief police detention upon their arrival in Boston, resulting in a performance with a different energy than usual. Furthermore, despite the show ending after 11 pm, they made a surprise return to the stage after "Street Fighting Man" to play "Honky Tonk Women" as an encore! In addition, the complete 80-minute version includes everything from the opening MC to the background music after the show, and even fills in the approximately 15-second gap between "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and "All Down The Line" that was missing due to tape changes, using alternative audio sources.
