Live at Koseinenkin Kaikan, Osaka, Japan, January 15th 1977

Tom Waits - vocals, Guitar, Piano
Chip White - Drums
Dr. Fitzgerald Jenkins - Bass
Frank Vicari - Tenor Saxophone

This two-disc set captures Tom Waits' legendary first visit to Japan in 1977, specifically the January 15th performance at the Kosei Nenkin Kaikan in Osaka. The sound is perfectly balanced, with a great sense of distance and realism, capturing the immersive atmosphere of the Kosei Nenkin Kaikan's medium-sized hall.

This performance followed the release of his iconic album "Small Change," and the setlist features many tracks from the album, including "Tom Traubert's Blues," "Pasties And A G-String," and "Small Change."

The final number, "OL' '55," which closes the show, is deeply moving.
