This is a complete recording of the March 24th Tokyo performance from their 2009 Japan tour in support of their latest album, "LIFECYCLE," captured in superb sound quality audience recording. Just like the album, this Japan tour heavily featured Mike Stern, and from the perspective that it might be a major turning point in the sound for Yellowjackets, who have long operated as a guitar-less band, it was a very interesting event for fans. When you think of guitar in Yellowjackets, the first person that comes to mind is Robben Ford, who has now become an undeniable guitar master, but Mike Stern is also a formidable force, and he seamlessly blended into the new songs such as "Double Nickel," "Claire's Closet," and "Falken's Maze," as well as into classics like "Even Song." His superb playing, backed by his diverse and brilliant career, will surely leave everyone in the audience in awe. Of course, the playing of the other Yellowjackets members, who have gained a new spice, is also superb, and they deliver a gem of a performance that gives us great anticipation for their future direction. In terms of sound quality, it boasts the superb sound quality unique to the Wildlife label's original masters, with an incredible sound quality that seems to have vacuum-sealed the dense atmosphere of the venue.
