WELCOME TO MY LIVING ROOM TOUR - JAPAN 2008 HER BEST HITS LIVE
Bunkamura Orchard Hall, Tokyo, Japan, November 10, 2008
A live performance far beyond imagination! Carole King, not only a timeless singer-songwriter, but also one of the greatest singers in pop history, has created some of the most enduring hits of all time. This high-quality audience recording and remastered recording of her November 10, 2008 performance at Orchard Hall is here! The main performance features Carole King on piano, supported by a three-piece band featuring acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin, and occasional unison backing vocals from Rudy Guess and Gary Burr, creating an astonishingly thick, groove-filled sound. The second half of the first set featured a medley of seven hits, closing with "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," a classic he wrote for the Shirelles and featured on "Tapestry." The second set featured a parade of classics, including "A Natural Woman" and "You've Got a Friend," a hit covered by James Taylor. The encore concluded with a performance of "The Loco-Motion," a classic covered by many artists, moving us with his softened, husky voice! This is a rare live performance that showcases the breadth of his talent, both in his new songs and his old hits!
