This recording captures Dave Mason's 1974 US tour performance on July 29th at Wollman Skating Rink: Central Park, New York, NY, USA. It's a live performance at the historic Schaefer Music Festival, and reflects his active solo career after leaving Traffic. The sound and guitar work are powerful, the audience is enthusiastic, and you can directly experience the raw energy and atmosphere that can only be heard during this period. The sound is superb. A bonus track features a 1978 NY performance recorded in SBD format. While it's an audience recording, the sound quality is very good considering the era. Although there's a slight instability, the clarity, presence, and directness are consistently high, allowing you to enjoy a stable, high-quality sound.
