From the Brushed Mike Millard Tapes, pop star Elton John makes his appearance. This is an audio recording from his "Back in the USSA Tour" in 1979, set in the United States. The basic style is Elton's piano and vocals, with Ray Cooper joining in on percussion rhythms on some tracks. Despite being primarily a piano and vocal performance, the set is surprisingly long, featuring a whopping 32 songs. Many of his hit songs are performed. Because the performance has a somewhat classical feel with varying dynamics, some tracks may feel a bit lacking in volume, but this is to prevent distortion during fortissimo passages.

***** Mike Millard Tape Series ********************* In recent years, the "Mike Millard Tapes" have been increasingly digitized from direct masters or low-generation tapes. These tapes were recorded by Mike Millard, a taper well-known to fans for his exceptional audience recording skills. The same label has released several recordings using these newly digitized Mike Millard Tapes as masters, in two patterns: "Brushed Mike Millard Tapes" and "Legendary Mike Millard Tapes." Not all Mike Millard Tapes have perfect sound quality; some have considerable room for improvement, and those that have been significantly edited and improved are the "Brushed" series. Those that were originally close to perfect and had little room for improvement in sound quality, and have only received minimal editing such as light editing between tracks, are the "Legendary" series.
