This is a complete recording of the live performance at the Marine Stage on the first day of "Summer Sonic 2013 Tokyo" in excellent audience quality. This is a highly anticipated release, digitally remastered from the label's original audience master. Following the shocking reunion announcement in February of this year and the immediate aftermath of their Liquid Room performance in April, this is the band's long-awaited return to Japan. While the performance was somewhat shorter due to the festival-style stage, the performance was full of soulful energy, enough to satisfy fans who missed the sold-out Liquid Room show. As an outdoor performance held in mid-August amidst record-breaking heatwaves, the large crowd was able to enjoy a moderately relaxed atmosphere, resulting in an excellent recording environment and a stable, comfortable audience recording from start to finish.
