This DCC-mastered version of George Harrison's classic "All Things Must Pass," mastered by Steve Hoffman but shelved before ever being released, is here. While the DCC version gained widespread popularity through limited sales on Hoffman's website, its sound is distinctly different from that of recent 50th-anniversary editions. The jacket features a rare photograph from the photo session and features a beautiful glossy paper jacket.
Hoffman's adjustments depend on the quality of the tape source and the mixing engineer's equalization choices. He eschews noise reduction, instead adding subjective "coloration" through subtractive equalization and up to five layers of tube distortion.
